Saribung Pass trip, combined with trekking in Upper Mustang, is one of the unique adventure trips you can experience in the Nepal Himalaya. The Pass connects two very exhilarating, but less traveled, areas of Nepal Himalaya; Upper Mustang and Naar Phu Valley. Upper Mustang, once an independent kingdom fully guided by the spiritual system of Tibetan Buddhism, is still considered as one of the most important centers of observing Tibetan or Himalayan culture and life. Naar Phu Valley on the other hand is an even more primitive Buddhist area open to tourists only in recent times. Saribung Pass is situated on the base of Mt. Saribung (6238m) which connects these two areas. It is a breath-taking experience as we trek at least 10 days without sighting any permanent settlement; we head into the wilderness of high altitude desert, glaciated lakes, age old glaciers and bases of mountains in the Bhrikuti Himalaya range. This trek is only for experienced adventurers. This trek can be extended to climbing of Mt. Saribung 6328 mtr which an easy to mild level climb.
