Overview
One of the exotic trekking areas of the Himalaya, situated at the Tibetan border, is home to the Tibeto-Burman origin Tamang people and is aptly named the ‘‘Tamang heritage trail’. The trek starts from Gatlang Village or Syabrubesi and heads North to near the Tibetan border through many Tamang villages and superb viewpoints where you’ll sight the Tibet border. The trail then heads to the South- Eastern side culminating in the popular Langtang Valley before reaching the Kyanjin Gompa surrounded by the snowy peaks of the Langtang ranges. We then head back to Syabru besi before catching the ride back to Kathmandu. The Tamang Heritage trail itinerary below can be shortened according to your time availability.
