Overview
Panch Pokhari Mera Trail was explored by some enthusiasts of trekking professionals in 2018 and now it’s ready for a commercial trek. This trek is in the lower region of Mt. Everest where the vast villages, terraced fields spread to make one of the great outdoor setting. Panch Pokharri means group of five lakes considered holy by local Hindu and Buddhist people. The area can be reached either by two days drive or short flight to Phaplu and about 8 hours’ jeep ride. This trek can be suitable for those who wish to avoid big crowd and experience cultural heritage yet seeing great mountain views as in any other treks as occasionally in this trek you can view some of the world’s tallest mountains : Mt. Everest, Mt. Kanchanjunga, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Cho Oyu and many other peaks. Accommodation in this trek is in home stay with local family, that’s another highlight and is true cultural experience.
