Manaslu Circuit Larke Pass (Larkya) Trekking
Manaslu Circuit Trek goes around Mt. Manaslu (8156 m) which is the eighth highest mountain in the world and one of the fourteen 8,000 metres plus peaks. Mt Manaslu dominates the Manaslu range itself bordering the Ganesh Himal range on the East and Annapurna to the West. Since the border with Tibet is a strategic location, the area of Manaslu Circuit Trekking is considered a restricted trekking destination; treks must be fully organized through a registered trekking agency. Similar to other restricted trekking places, the permit is issued and regulated by the Immigration Department of Nepal. The area is relatively untouched by tourism, however, the number of visitors to the region is increasing dramatically in recent years.
The Manaslu circuit trek starts from a small village near the historic Gorkha (Gurkha) Kingdom, now a district of Nepal. The trek passes through lush hills and canyons, dotted with enchanting villages, towards the way to Larkya La (5135m), one of the most beautiful passes of the Himalayas. The trek then drops down from Larkya La to Marshyangdi Valley, part of the Annapurna circuit, and to the road which leads us back to Kathmandu. As the Annapurna circuit has been impacted by road construction, the Manaslu circuit is fast becoming a popular alternative trekking region in the Himalaya. You can read reviews by the trekkers who visited there in the past. Please, contact us for further details.
