Overview
Trekking the Langtang area, you’ll first drive through sights such as rice paddy fields and green forest before arriving at the small town of Syabrubensi, on the banks of the Trishuli (Bhotekoshi) River. We then head east into the beautiful Langtang Valley following Langtang River up to the Kyanzin gompa (Kyanzin Monastery), the last village at an elevation of 3800m. From Kyanzin, we hike to the peaks of Tsergo Ri (5026m), Kyanzin Ri (5100m) and Yala Peak (5722m), all of which offer exhilarating views. Yala Peak is a small climbing peak suitable for novice climbers thus if you plan to take Yala Peak option then need to add two days on the itinerary given below. We can either return same trail back to Syabrubesi to return to Kathmandu. Alternatively, combine the trek with a visit to the Gosainkunda area, Ganjala Pass or Tilman Pass. Langtang valley is one of the beautiful Himalayan valleys a perfect package of cultural and adventure experience.
